No one is safe until Portal closes

Everyone will begin following the Demond Williams route. It's now happened with Walter Mathis and it will occur across the board.
No one is safe until the portal closes. The contracts have to get stricter to try to contain this practice

Worst case scenario would be your best players enter on the last day the portal is open.

Honest question.

I disagree. Contracts aren't made to be broken. they're made to have a box around the deal. They become broken due to faulty language that allows loopholes.

Good luck with that. The players aren’t university employees nor has anything been collectively bargained.
Universities trying to entrap NIL contracts are conducting indentured servitude.

It won’t with an unenroll and enroll elsewhere angle.

Problem is these "contracts" are not binding. NCAA royally screwed this up from the beginning. We benefitting right now and I'm happy about that, but something has to change

Honest question.
The transferring player is required to enter the transfer portal in order to go to another school. Although that can also be circumvented by the player just dropping out and enrolling in a different school. However this dropout must occur before the semester starts, otherwise they would lose the abililty to participate in spring training.

Yea kinda wonder if some of this doesn't become really quiet. It only hurts at some point going public with signings.

Kiffin and Glasscock were very shrewd and ahead of the curve with the portal. They realized early that there are more shortcuts and loopholes that actually hard rules, and have taken advantage of it.
Problem is everyone else is following suit. I fully expect some LSU “signees” to reopen their recruitment when those other programs come calling.

I’m fully supporting LK and embracing the villain role. You wanna be a gangsta gotta be prepared to do gangsta shite. Now get in that Bentley and handle your business.

The portal is public knowledge so not announcing directly doesn’t really matter

Yup, Mathis pulling a Demond is good example

They are not employees. You cannot make them true "contracts" based on the Name Image and Likeness laws.
This whole thing is stupid. Its the wild west and it won't get any better. The whole intention of the lawsuit was for the athletes to be paid for signing autographs and earning royalties from jersey sales. What this has turned into is madness.
