They were 0-18 2023-2024.
Now 11-3 and 1-0 in SEC, hanging with Kentucky at Rupp on espn2 now.

Literally every other SEC program has surpassed McMahon’s hapless program

Gates turned them around, bottomed out, then turned them around again before McMahon ever got us to the tournament.

But McPuff and Pirate King said you can’t turnaround a program in a year!

Mizzou basketball must be flush with cash. Only explanation I can think of.

After having $0 only 2 years ago, but plenty of money 3 years ago.

Truly remarkable

Verge send a blank check to Vandy's coach. Let's solve all our problems

Missouri, Mississippi State, and Texas have all played below expectations so far this season, but are all showing signs of turning it around. That's bad news for LSU, because they were ranked ahead of all three in NET, KenPom, etc.

Going into the game last night, LSU was a 10 seed in the latest Bracketology. That really was a devastating loss vs. a very bad team. It was inexcusable.

It certainly isn't because of their coach.

I thought LSU would improve this year and win 4-6 conference games. Doubt that will be the case now. Sad about that.

I've gotten to meet the team at some booster events. All seem like great guys. I too thought this would be McMahon's first tournament team. It's worse when you have likeable players.

Or Kentucky is spending none.

I eagerly await Shea Dixon’s article next week reporting LSU still has the second lowest NIL expenditure ahead of only (checks SEC standings) Kentucky?!!

It's shocking Missouri won that game at Kentucky. They were way down late.

There's a new sheriff in town, in SEC men's basketball.

Missouri and Vanderbilt were both hard pressed to win any games, just two seasons ago. Now they're SEC basketball royalty! Vanderbilt is closing out a double-digit win vs Bama tonight. In 2023 Alabama shellacked Vandy by a 101-44 margin.

Does LSU stand a ghost of a chance in Nashville at noon on Saturday?

It was a 6 point win at home. There were 64 fouls called for both teams and Vandy shot 50 free throws. BAMA shot 9 for 40 in thei rvaunted three point attack.

By the way tell us whether Vandy's best player missed the game due to injury and whether their most skiled inside player was lost for the season to injury.
