I wonder how much of our annual deficit would be reduced if all fraud in America was stopped??

There’s no way one day received $190m out of $193m total. Either Sperry got his facts wrong or Maryland doesn’t pay attention to who they send funds too.

That number is for the entire state. I think her daycare is legit based on the thread yesterday but they live in a mansion. Why take taxpayer money?

Heard some #s the other week, that if it were stopped anyone making less than $400-500k/year wouldn't have to pay taxes. I'm sure the IRS would recalculate it to their benefit, but even if it would be $250-300k most would be happy.

Good post, thanks. I'm not defending Byrd or his actions, but the day Care seems legit and I posted Google Earth photos in previous thread showing there home playground and equipment.
People can rag on Byrd all they want, but doesn't look like the Day Care is even close to fraud, illegal, or not legit. Your post is additional confirmation.
His wife may be doing a bang up job. Posters will rag on why take the money, blah, blah, blah. They seem to be following the law and rules in this matter.

Running a daycare from your home with a max 8 kids is a pretty low bar for a “successful small business.” But the general point of your post stands.
