They just have a really good PR team. They're imposters who have to have their voices dubbed over by the call of a Red Tailed Hawk. They sound like little bitches.

When I lived in Ketchikan, Alaska for a while in the mid-80s, I remember a girl in my class came to school one day really upset. Turns out her family had been out on their boat that weekend and brought the family dog along. Must have been a small breed because apparently a bald eagle swooped down and grabbed Fido off the bow of their boat. Not a damned thing they could do but watch him fly off into the distance.

The fact you’re getting downvoted for this is hilarious. They basically have a cute little chirp. That said, they really are graceful to watch in the wild. Especially when fishing.
And it is cool when you hear a Red-Tail call though. Really carries.

Sitting on top of my neighbors house three days ago. He sits up there all the time. He is on his own now. Dude loves the Tilapia out of our pond.
