- Elon's post replies to Midjourney founder David Holz's excitement about AI enabling unprecedented personal coding productivity, declaring the arrival of the technological Singularity—a point where AI surpasses human intelligence and drives exponential progress.
- This reflects 2025-2026 AI breakthroughs, such as advanced code-generation models like those in Grok or successors to GPT-5, which allow non-experts to prototype complex projects rapidly, as evidenced by Holz completing more work in weeks than in a decade.
Notice he said we have entered, not reached the singularity.

Elon Musk just dropped a post with huge implications:
> “We have entered the Singularity”
By that he means the technological singularity: the point where progress compounds so fast that “normal” timelines stop making sense.
AI is already compressing years of work into days. Robotics is next. Energy and space scale the floor under it. When the cost of intelligence and production keeps falling, abundance stops being a slogan and starts being a roadmap.
If this is the singularity, the move is simple: build, ship, iterate. Don’t slow it down. Don’t fear it. Shape it.
Acceleration is the path to abundance.

No way that he would be saying this to hype up the price of his holdings.

You might be onto something if other tech heads didn’t agree with him & are saying similar.
But continue trying to be pragmatic to protect your feelings in case it’s really not that good. Don’t want your feelings hurt.

Lol, nothing is going to change. Do you see any major news headlines? Any major financial market changes?
Nothing is happening. LLMs have plateaued.

The sticking point right now is the number of data centers, Oracle recently rolled back some of their projections since the timelines for building out new data centers is hitting significant roadblocks.

Will this speed up the development of sex robots?

I am assuming he is referring to coding? If so, I don't think he is wrong at all. Me, who knows very little about coding, was able to get ChatGPT to start building a code for a game that could be put on Apple Apps.
It wasn't a well thought out game, I was just seeing what it could do and from what I gathered, if I had more details and thought it out more, in two hours I would have had the entire game coded.
Right now, I think most people who use ChatGPT or any other AI application still doesn't know how to use it to its capability and the things it can do is pretty amazing.
I posted this on here before, but in November 2024 my mom was diagnosed with ALS. In the early part of 2024 she was having issues that she thought was something else. In May 2024 she made an appointment to go to a specialist in July 2024. That May, not even considering it was ALS, I put in all the symptoms and it told me that everything points to ALS. I didn't say anything to my mom because there was no reason to put that in her head before going to the doctor. After that appointment in July, she had to do some testing then she had to schedule an appointment to get the results, which wasn't until November.
My van has a wheelchair ramp that folds out from the side. Its connected to the vehicle's battery. In the past this happened to me one or twice, but when you replace the battery the ramp will trip. When I called the place where it was installed, they told me the van had to be brought in. Several months ago I had to get a new battery and it tripped the ramp. I fed ChatGPT the information.. It then asked me what brand was the ramp because it would differ. There are two ramp van ramp brands, I told it the brand and it gave me step by step instructions that took about 3 mins to fix.
I actually looked on youtube first and there were videos.. 6 min, 8 min videos with some dry personality dude going though each step. CGPT got me through it in 3 mins.
I don't think a lot of people understand the capabilities of these AI applications. In fact, at a Christmas gathering this past year I was talking with someone I consider to be "tech savy" and I asked what AI application he uses and he told me "Nooo. I am not there yet, its going to take me awhile to wrap my mind around AI".
If anyone was in their preteens are older in the mid to late 90s when everyone was getting the internet in their home. That was the beginning of a whole new era. That's where we are with AI. It will not be accepted until it becomes obvious it will become a way of life.

I don't see the powers that be let AI produce mass abundance.
Alot of people get off on control. They'll still try to force people to serve them even without material necessity.
AI eliminating the need for people will make them try to reduce the number of people I'm afraid.
Brave New World shows you can have an advanced and prosperous society and still have it be a nightmare

In other news, OpenAI’s founder, Sam Altman, threatens to take a reporter’s shares in his company for asking why OpenAI’s announced capital investments are nearing $1.5T when the company’s revenues are around $13B.
There’s real concern AI is not providing non-AI businesses with enough bang for the buck. This could cause these businesses to pull back their investments with these companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Meta, etc.
Elon is a salesman at heart. Nothing he says should be taken at face value without considering the context he’s making whatever announcement he’s making.
