Three down and your best 3 point shooter is inbounding the ball?

What a dumbass, I don't know what to say about his ineptness in last minute decisions and draw ups for last shots. Dog shite.

That was about as good of a look as one could’ve asked for.

Perhaps he didn’t trust anyone else to make the entry pass that had to be absolutely perfect to even have a chance.

How much time is left?

I didn't watch the game, but if it wasn't a catch and shoot situation then its not a terrible idea to have your best shooter inbound the ball. Often the least amount of attention can be paid to the inbounder, giving them an opportunity for a clean shot off a screen, reversal, etc. after inbounding it.

And I'm not one single bit a McMahon defender.

Tell me you don’t watch much basketball without telling me you don’t watch much basketball. Damn

Same guy threw it into the back of the backboard earlier in the game

Announcers, who I suspect know ball, said it was a great play. Just fell short

true but there was not nearly enough time for MacKinnon to get down the court. they found an open Mosely who had a good luck. couldn't sink it.

Mosely is very long and a great target for long passes.

the play worked, we got the shot. just couldn't sink it.

No, we didn't. A guy was in his face for the last shot.

Full court out of bounds with 3.7 seconds left and McKinnon taking the out. No way McKinnon is touching it in that situation.

Did it go in? He needs to have an alternative for who throws the ball in when you need a 3 or the game is over.

Yeah that's not the situation I was envisioning then

Totally ok with him taking the ball out in the half court but not in that situation. You have got to get your best, most consistent 3 point shooter that shot.

Good play, almost worked. Turnovers in the last two minutes lost it.

I think that is what was drawn up. Have Max inbound, race down. If A&M hounds him (they did), it is going to free someone else up. Mosley was about as open and unhurried as you would ever see (I was actually worried he was going too slow) and still missed. It was actually a pretty cool play.

In that situation you may need someone who can create their own shot. McKinnon is not quick enough for that. It was a well executed play and Mosley got a great look because they weren’t expecting him to be the guy. But I’m sure you’ve coached more games than him.

I think anyone that understands basketball can watch this team and see they are pretty well coached. It was a road SEC game against a good team without our point guard/best player. There is a reason they pressed that hard, Thomas was out. Game came down to the last shot. If there was anything to criticize CMM on, it’s bringing NBA talent to the roster. Personally I think CMM would be really good if he were pulling roster’s anywhere near what Wade put on the floor.

Not a bad play design overall but the wrong person taking the shot. I agree about the late turnovers and second chance points given up at the end.
