Was binge watching forensic files last night. I got to thinking how might I intricately plan it. Or even killing someone . I could not get past the first step because of the anxiety it (killing) caused even thinking about it. I was paralyzed by thought-action fusion. I saw the other thread here about hypothetically killing someone and thought this was ripe for discussion.

Disclaimer: I am not planning nor have I ever thought about killing anyone

nope. risk vs reward is not worth it. no bank has enough money to make me want to spend a lot of time in prison.

You get a job as a janitor.

Use the proceeds to go to school.

Get a degree in accounting,

Get a job as a teller.

Work your way up to assistant manager.

Then manager.

Then vice president.

Decades later, they give you the keys as the bank president. You are making 6 figures a year.

Then, one night, when everyone has gone home, you fill up a comically large sack with a money sign on it with bills of various sizes, fake your own death and flee the country, leaving your family, for a country with no extradition laws.

You live like a king for a few years until the money runs out.

Then you find another bank and get a job as a janitor...

No. There’s not much dumber than trying to rob a bank.

Bank robbery and drug running used to be survivable (not caught) if you are one and done. Problem is people are usually greedy and believe they are smart enough to continue.

Murder would have to be a revenge type, such as eye for an eye. If someone killed one of my immediate family with malice, I would think long and hard about payback.

I do know one guy who ran a truck full of drugs in the 80’s. One and done.
Never really worked after that.

I’d get elected as a socialist POTUS.

BTW this works for your original question too.

Many years ago, I worked as an armed bank guard. Very boring job, so the thought crossed my mind from the standpoint of how I would deal with various situations. This meant that I had to consider the opposition view and how to respond to different potential approaches.
So yes, I gave a lot of thought to both sides of the equation.
But never considered doing a robbery. Just antithetical to my nature.
