Charlie Weis Jr. as a Head Coach

The cope de jour from Ole Ms twitter is that CWJr wont even be OC at LSU next year as he'll take a HC position before the spring.
I just dont see it. His 3y/7.5m contract guarantees he is the highest paid SEC OC (reviewed each March) and he'll owe a 7.5m buyout if he leaves before April 2026. Assuming that buyout drops to 5m after April.

Where are you seeing that? What job

Still have Kiffin. Offense will be fine.

I think he is just saying random ole miss Twitter users are saying it.
I don't see Charlie Weis Jr all of a sudden getting a head coaching job.

This is reason #1 he shouldn’t have been loaned out to ole miss. He does well on the national stage without Kiffin and he never makes it here.

Old Mrs. has literally been wrong on everything that they’ve taken a stance on during their coaching fiasco. Think “nobody got on the planes”etc. Why would we believe them now???

Agreed but I guess there could be some late movement driven by NFL searches setting off a chain reaction. Luckily the way the contract is structured protects the school and helps ensure he stays a few years
Make no mistake he was absolutely in his bag the other night.

He was back in Baton Rouge Friday morning. He probably knows one good year in BR is going to open a lot more doors that aren’t open at the moment.

Where's he going? All FBS job openings have been filled.

OM twitters are also saying he threatened that if he couldn’t coach throughout the playoffs he’d resign with OM.

Might be next head coach at Ole Miss when Golding gets sacked.

i can not wait to see how quickly Golding crashes and burns. I just do not see him being the Messiah to lead the Rebels to the promised land. I think they should have looked for a quality hire instead of getting the next man up. Time will tell I guess..

It’s going to be beautiful. That fan base is so delusional.

These frickers are in the middle of a pretty deep playoff run and they’re still worried about all the guys who didn’t get on the plane.

The buyout is only if he leaves for another OC job, there’s no buyouts for coordinators moving up to Head Coaches
Posted on 1/3/26 at 11:15 am to Honkus
If he leaves before April 1st his buyout becomes the entire value of his contract, not saying somebody won’t pay it but he’ll be here a year at least

Where? What job is open?
Unless an NFL team poaches a college coach or someone suddenly retires it gets arrested and fired out of nowhere, this cycle is over.
Ole Myth fans are fricking deranged right now. They are falling for some really non-sensical shite right now and just echo chamber it until they actually start believing it all.
They were also all ranting about keeping the offensive staff after the playoffs when they’ve already hired replacements and it would cost around $10 mil to pay all of the buyouts to make it happen? That’s just not anchored to reality in any way, shape or form, yet many of them eat this shite up off the floor and smile.

A major program isn’t hiring him to be a head coach yet. The main NFL target that’s been mentioned is Ryan Day, and they would likely just promote from within like they did with him.

Kiffin hires who implements “his style” of offense. It’s not like any of our recent coaches. He’s a guru on offense, much like Saban was the same on defense.
