Josh Pate on Get Up this morning said there is a plan in place to replace the LSU coaches. I would think Lane would want that to happen as I’m pretty sure he thought they would lose to GA. Weis did too good a job.

Yeah, Ole Miss has opened up negotiating with their current offensive staff to try to retain them so it appears we are going to enter another battle here.

What battle. Didn’t Weis already sign a contract with LSU?

There is no battle. They have signed their contracts. Those offensive coaches are in Baton Rouge right now currently recruiting for us, minus Weis.

They already signed contracts with LSU and Ole Miss already hired their replacements for next year.

There isn’t a contract or MOU in existence that Mississippi lawyers don’t think they can get around. They think they have a shot at a NC. They will go all in and sacrifice the next 4 years to win just 2 more games. They know they will never be this close again with a stellar QB and offensive game plan to score on anyone. They probably think they will curb stomp Miami or at least have 50:50shot of getting “bad” version of Carson Beck. Then it’s one game.
Lawyers always say MOUs aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
It could be a battle

They all already signed contracts with LSU. Their loyalties are to Kiffin anyway not Ole Miss.

So they are going to buy out the staff they just hired to move forward with and then buy out their previous staff’s contracts with LSU?

You are a special kind of stupid.

Ugh, contracts can be "bought" by Ole Miss.

I told y'all this was a bad decision from day 1.

Lane tried to please Ole Miss when they basically hate him right now.

I wouldn't doubt Ole Miss buys out the "contracts" to LSU and put the ones they have "hired" to replace them as analysts.

Everyone just assumed Georgia would beat Ole Miss and things would get to back to normal.

Do you idiots even think before you post? Ole Myth is going to screw over the former OC from East Carolina who they just hired and have under contract and who used to be a co-OC for them and make him an analyst? Talk about a rug-pull. You think he would just accept that? Frank wouldn’t accept an analyst job here. You think he wouldn’t “burn that building down, too?

Give me a fricking break.

You clearly misunderstood. This isn't a negotiation to "retain" them for next year. They've already signed contracts with LSU, and Ole Miss has already hired their next coaching staff. The conversation is surrounding them potentially staying on board through the remainder of the play-offs.
