Alabama had NO business being in the playoffs

Been declining the entire 2nd half of season. Got in based on rep and $.
IU is a really good team but Bama simply doesn't belong.

ND ran for more yards the week of the SEC Championship than Bama did.
ND lost by 3 at Miami, doesn’t seem too bad now, does it?
Bama sucks. The SEC is good, but not the juggernaut it used to be. BEFORE this terrible performance today, ND was better than Bama by FPI, SP+, FEI, Sagarin, etc etc., and the gap will only widen now after today. Every advanced stat/metric says ND was significantly better.

They ran the table against a mediocre schedule...winning each game by an AVERAGE of 30 points.
And that 3 point loss on the road to Miami looking more legit now.
Plus a 1 point loss to another playoff team.

Great. They still didn’t beat anyone worth a shite. Bama had no business being there. Doesn’t change the fact that ND deserved a spot.
Once again there are too many teams the get in which results in an undeserving team like Bama getting in, so they just have to pick a few extra teams. Bama at least beat a team or two with a pulse so they got the nod over ND.
At least next year ND plays an even shittier schedule so they’ll have an easy path.
