Wife got me a new blackstone for Christmas to replace the old gas grill we have that is in awful shape.
Put it to the street but not really sure if they will pick it up.
Anyone put large items like that out recently and have issues?

A guy driving around with a trailer will grab it for scrap metal

I’ve never had a gas grill or any kind of yard equipment last until trash pickup. Somebody always picks it up.

Trash pick up is Monday for me, I just put it out Sunday morning by the time I took my trash out that evening it was gone.

This is how it works in N.O. You put ANY appliance or large metal item to the street and a scrapper will take it, and do so probably before days end.
Over the years I've put out 2 big fridges, a washer, dryer, wall oven, water heater and stove top.

My old house was not in the best area, and when I would get rid of stuff I would just put it by street and it would be gone within the hour. Never had to haul anything away

Make sure you put that Blackstone box out by the old one so they know what to come grab next week when you're at work.

Put the grill on the street with a sign taped on it that says, "Used Grill - $50. Pay at house."
No one will knock on your door and it will gone by morning...
