I'm not giving Tennessee shite. They stood up to Nico's hostage attempt last spring. Anyone with some brain capacity knew that would cost them this season. His replacement just wasn't as good.

What's crazy is last night, I just rewatched the 2018 LSU vs UCF matchup when Heupel's thugs blindsided & spit on Joe Burrow, which lit a fuse in Joe and turned him into BDJ, who then preceded to not only beat their asses but never lost another game, going on a 16-game win streak.

I remember that. It was on an INT that was ridiculous from the refs. The DB killed the WR, knocked him down before ball even came there, then INT the ball and Burrow got blasted on the return. He got up and destroyed them along with the 2019 season. It was like he changed into a new person from that moment on. Warrior. He also played with broken ribs in the NC game.

Except Aguilar is better. Their D and running game fell off.

Meh, these stats are going to happen with these bloated, retarded, super conferences. Heupel is a good offensive coach. He needs to get a defense soon, though.

The SEC just means more. How much was Tennessee ranked? How many "ranked" wins did the other SEC teams get from them? more or less than Missouri?

He’s a good coach. Has a damn good offensive system. The problem isn’t the coach. Tennessee just doesn’t have the recruiting resources that they think they do.

Things don't happen in a vacuum. Nico had his bluff called and jumped to a much worse situation, not just dollar-wise but coaching, development, etc. It's likely that Tennessee has more success this year if Nico had stayed and improved in the system he knew. Cautionary tale.
