Has There Been A More Feckless SOH

For the life of me, I cannot think of a less effective Speaker than Johnson.
Can anyone tell me anything of great significance that he's done for the good of the country?
He should be pushing to get the DOGE cuts made permanent. Is he? Nope.
He's the kind of guy that walks into a room and no one notices. The majority of the country is waiting for him to do something and will support his efforts, but he DOES NOTHING.

I think he was elected Speaker for this very reason.

Given how he was elected, it’s not surprising he’s feckless. He’s more of a placeholder than someone with a mandate.

Not promoting Johnson he's been doing little more than nothing good, but Pelosi held the gavel for what 8 years doing nothing but screwing the American people to her own benefit....

This sums up what the Republicans in Congress have accomplished this year:

The job is too big for him. It's just that simple.

He's compromised. Either by blackmail or threats against his family.
Everything he was against, he is now for. It's the most blatant flip-flop in history.

Well,I would say this is the Repub's own fault ( and I am one) because he was like the 89 candidate that they ran up there because the group could not coalesce around one of the R leaders. Now you know why nothing on the R agenda gets done.
So now you have Massie and Rand Paul running counter to the Trump Admin. So the net is we will get absolutely nothing done while we have majorities.
Hell, Pelosi sent out death threats to any Dems that didnt toe the line...

Getting exactly what we voted for.

“Speaker Mike Johnson is a good, hard working, religious man. He will do the right thing, and we will continue to WIN. Mike has my Complete & Total Endorsement. MAGA!” -- Trump Dec 30 2024

As much as I hate it, someone like Mike (traditionally conservative, but too consensus-oriented to really lead) is probably the best we could hope for. The more aggressive change-maker would never get the GOPe votes to win. I was just glad we didn't get another sell-out.
Unfortunately, the change we're looking for won't happen quickly. Our only hope is that we somehow sustain the movement to root out waste & corruption well past the Trump presidency.

Boehner, Ryan, McCarthy?
GOP hasn’t elected a speaker worth two shits since Newt.

And don't think for one second that's not by design.

There was an all out assault to prevent Scalise from being named as SOH which in retrospect is because they knew he would be effective in carrying out Trumps agenda.
The Senate Leader though is head and shoulders worse than Johnson.

The idea that the nation would want a Louisiana politician in charge is… impressive, and not in a good way. The one state that can’t seem to get out of its own way, trailing the rest of the country and the Southeast despite controlling the Mississippi River, running a major refinery hub, producing tons of crops, drawing tourists by the millions, and harvesting more seafood than anyone can eat… somehow still ends up worse off than Kansas. Yeah, that makes total sense. So naturally, we’d want those folks leading the House and the nation? This country is so dumb it’s a comedy sketch at this point.

Johnson is Trumps guy and does exactly what Trump wants from him.

He's better than McCarthy. How is he going to pass anything out of the House and through a Turtle/Thune controlled GOPe/uniparty/never-Trumper Senate that was always intent, since November 2024, on being the backstop to Trump's agenda? The problem isn't Johnson, it's Mitch McConnell, Thune, their gaggle of GOPe/uniparty DC establishment elitists who refuse to do anything for the majority of voters that elected Trump... while they give the Dems everything they want and unianimously vote for every one of Obama and Biden's appointments. Then you have TDS obstructionist Liberaltarian RINOs like Massie and Rand who vote with Democrats because of their personal vendettas against Trump.

Just another example of hardcore MAGA hating a guy who is 100% onboard with Trump. It’s wild, Mike is Trump’s bitch.

I personally know Mike though politics. You think he's a MAGA hating guy? That's hilarious.
You people don't understand that there are many competing interests and factions at play in Congress, with divisions among Republicans and not just between Democrats and Republicans. You can't just ram through policy you want simply because Republicans have the majority. The GOPe is the problem. They won't get out of the way and let the will of the voters prevail. They are purposely obstructing and protecting the DC blob.
