Not true. Hypothetically if the same coach was still here it could be worse. Yall are equating bad coaching to bad talent. Those guys were all 4-5 stars and recruited by every major college program. Most of them will succeed at other universities with adequate coaching. I wish we would’ve kept them all

It isn't just about 5 . You need numbers and depth. I'm not panicking but there is no way we missed on 6 OL. It was mostly coaching and scheme. There are 3-4 I would have liked to keep and let them compete with the transfers and if they don't win then they are backups until next year while they develop. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is not always a good strategy.

What about portal rankings. 3 LSU OLs in the top 6 OLs in the portal right now #1 Curne, #3 Echols, and #6 Mubenga. Most of the time when you saw those guys on their arse, it was because they tripped on another lineman's foot. That is coaching. That's before you take S&C into account. Which is also coaching.

First I have said a MILD and more truthful version about some of that. EVERY major college program did NOT recruit most of those OL...they simpy didn't. They had SOME offers for sure, Second, I have stated the coaching point myself. But sorry, coaching can't help D J Chester..sorry, but coaching can't help Mubenga. I have seen enough of them to know they are not FBS P4 conference players who should start for a team. Curne and Adams MIGHT be ones to keep with Curne an OG, NOT an OT. Echols is another one maybe. The other 3...thanks but not thanks.

Colton Joseph is #84 in the portal rankings and no inteillgent person believes he is a medium 3*. And Chambliss at Ole Miss was the #60 best QB in the portal last time. My point is the portal rankings can be way, way off for some players. A better gauge is let's see who is willing to scholarship and pay for these guys.
