Is Phil Fulmer’s record of 152-52 a bit misleading due to such a weak November schedule?

100 games above .500, arguably one of the best overall records of all time but playing Kentucky and Vanderbilt every November when both schools were so down is a bit misleading. They were pretty much guaranteed wins every season.
He was 54-10 in the month of November.
I don’t think we’re going to see this again in the current landscape of college football.

More like we won’t see coaches last that long at one place in this current era.

Yes Fulmer benefited from KY and Vandy being especially terrible in the 90s. But you can do this same critique with just about any coach’s resume. Is Tom Osborne’s overall record misleading given that he got to play teams like KU and Iowa St every year?

Spurrier played Kentucky and Vandy every year too.

Fulmer from 1995-1998 was 45-5 with two SEC titles and a national title. Three of his five losses were to Steve Spurrier and the Florida Gators.

He beat the piss out of everyone not named Spurrier.
(And Tuberville)

And Urban Meyer, and Mark Richt, and Nick Saban.
Edit:
Confused as to why I’m being downvoted. Do people not realize the post I was responding to said that Fulmer beat the piss out of everyone except Spurrier and Tubs. Here are his records against other top flight coaches that I mentioned. As you can see he didn’t beat the piss out of any of these.
Mark Richt 3-5
Urban Meyer 0-4
Nick Saban 1-4

Osbourne. Fatted up on
Isu, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado,etc
Nubs had a 26 game winning streak vs Missouri going into 90's. U could find stuff like this for every team.
How about notre dame fattening up on. Bad. Armed forces teams?

Guy didn’t even make it 20 years as HC at Tennessee.

All I know is they lost 21.17 to us on 9 November 1996.

Oregon right now has only lost to Washington, Ohio state, Indiana in three years. Only four losses. Wild and nothing to show

Fat Phil would be considerd a grandslam hire for a program if he were in his coaching prime right now. Im no fan of the vols, but Phil is a true sec legend that never got his due or respect. Vol fans should be ashamed of running him off and setting there program back decades because of it!

Peyton had an awful game against Memphis that day

The program got to be stale and needed a boost. The Kiffin hire was the home run hire but it didn’t work out.

He got to play some really bad South Carolina teams in November as well.

The SEC East aside from Tennessee and Florida was absolutely awful back then.

UGA was always up there & Mark Richt dominated Fulmer from 2001-2008

5-3 isn't exactly dominating someone.
