So of course LSU fans think the defensive coordinator is overpaid and overrated.

Never change, baws.

Defense wasn't the problem this season. It was absolutely the problem last night though.

Did LSU give up over 400 yards of Offense to every single team that finished in the top 25 of offenses?

The answer to that is a RESOUNDING YES.

Yall live in this world of BS stats like HAVOK from 2 years ago, trying to grasp to anything like "FEI" to make it seem like Baker is this defensive genius when in reality his whole concept is blitz LBs 10 yards off the ball and hope their QB panics.

Yall can cry about injuries or "2nd and 3rd string" last night, but all of those 2nd and 3rd strinf guys are all 4 and 5 star recruits. A good coach would have made adjustments to fit his player skill sets.

Remember, Matt House had a top 30 defense with 39 scholarship players his first year.

It took Baker 3 years, the highest paid defensive coaching staff and an absolute crap ton of NIL to reach a top 20.

I'm sorry you don't understand advanced statistics.

When your offense is shite and can't stay on the field......your defense is left out there all game. You don't win 6 games this year without Baker and that defense. Why you think Kelly and Sloan is gone?

What was the scoring defense ranked? 14
Total defense? 25
LSU scoring Offense? 107
You can’t keep giving it to the offense and they go 3 and out and hold up.
They did that without Gooden and Whit Weeks for a long stretch of the season which took away from their ability to stop the run up the middle and running QBs.

OU game was a complete representation for how this season played out.

You’re a complete dummy.

Did LSU not hold every team on its schedule this year below their season average. If not, it was certainly most of them.

480yd vs Ole Miss
399yd vs Vandy
426yd vs A&M
344yd vs Alabama
393yd vs OU

Defense padded its stats vs weaker competition as was slightly above average vs teams that finished in the top 25. 408ypg on average.

Evidently you are only capable of one dimensional thought. While LSU was yielding 400+ to Top 25s our offense was churning out <250 per game. With an improved offensive output our TOP would likely grow and the defensive yield would shrink even at the same performance level simply due to fewer plays. Add to that, if we actually led in the game, especially late, that the opponent would be forced out of their offensive gameplan as we were every game an hence be less likely to generate the success rate on out D…

It is awesomely stupid that you all fail to realize that our offense was last in the SEC and last in the NCAA for teams scoring >25 pts vs P4 teams and you want to find fault with Defense. Thank God you all are not in charge.

This is about as stupid as NASCAR team bitching about the driver when the engine/car wont even keep pace speed.

How many points on the scoreboard does 400 yards equate to?
