If we can’t get Chambliss at QB, Byrum Brown is my pick

6’3 230 with a really nice arm, 4,200 all purpose yards this year with 1,000 rushing yards and 42 total TDs. Played very well against UF and Boise state. Played decent against Miami surrounded by extremely outclassed talent in that game. Miami may be the biggest competitor for him but I believe he is worth the $$$.

Lane will get the right guy.
Chambliss is likely 1(A) no matter who enters the portal.
If not him, it's still early (technically hasn't begun). Brown and Sorsby are the big names now that I'd also be happy with, but there will be other big names to consider.

If Leavitt wasn't coming off injury I'd have to think he was #1 for Lane. he's a perfect fit for his offense and he has high end NFL potential too.

Can we stop bringing this guy up? Unless his coach, who Brown was instrumental in helping him get an SEC job, hates him…he will be going to Auburn. Period.

Counting on the NCAA to resolve something in the next 20 or so days(end of the portal) is a brave hill to stand on. That little delay changed the odds dramatically in favor of "its not happening". And hes using a heavily influential OM lawyer to do it. Tealeaves folks.

I looked at a couple of videos on the Cincinnati qb, Sorsby, after he was mentioned on dandydon. He had a crazy good year. Big, throws well, runs well. 36 tds, 3380 yards. Do not know if we are seriously pursuing, but he would look good in a Kiffin offense.

I've said before, but I only want Chambliss over Brown because he's already done it in Kiffin's offense in the SEC so easy transition. Byrum Brown would be insane at LSU.

That's not what I said. That was part of what I said but nice of you to cherry pick. I said he hasn't looked great in the time he has played and in Tulane that was also shown, as I implied in my post if you had any reading comprehension ability. All I said was he has potential but he hasn't shown it yet so he'd make me nervous.
