There is no way people actually enjoy these bowl games now

This First Responders Bowl has felt like it’s been on all night.

With the playoffs, these games are a joke and a money grab.

I feel like if you say you’re into these, you’re trying too hard to be a “football guy”. Someone ask Moscona how many of these games he’s watched. That dork is always shouting how more football is good.

Also, who the hell goes to the watchESPN app to see the trophy presentations for these games?

At no point in history would UTSA vs FIU be a big draw.

There's only a few weeks left of games, it's pretty easy to ignore these.

I mean, wasn’t that always true even before the playoffs? The vast majority of bowl games were always “meaningless” in terms of the national title (even the NY6). If you cared about them before then you can continue to care about them now. If you didn’t care about them before then you don’t have to care about them now.

Bowl games are always shitty before Christmas. They will start to get a little better tomorrow and progressively better through new year till the end of the playoffs. Some of you people have nothing better to do then bitch. If you don’t like football, don’t watch, we don’t care

Lower tier bowls are usually the bteer ones. The teams generally are happy to be there and try to get one last win for their teams.

It's usually the schools that think they're too good for whatever bowl they're in that treat it like a scrimmage and make it a bore to watch.

I feel it could be legit form of punishment to force someone to watch one of these meaningless bowls between 6-6 / 7-5 record teams

I legitimately enjoyed the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve.

Me too. The Rate Bowl that went into OT today was good, too. The lower tier bowls are often the most entertaining every year.

I'll never understand why this board hates more football.

I'm a Football Junkie. All good here.

Gives me a chance to check out 2 teams UTSA vs FIU i normally would not be watching on Saturday's during the regular season.

Doesn't help that Notre Dame ; Iowa State & K State declined offers.

These Bowl games still mean plenty judging by the Brawls (Hawaii/ Cal + Louisville/Toledo)

I mean duh they always were with regards to the championship, but you obviously didn't pay close attention 20 years ago

But the players and fans truly cared about winning them which made every bowl game more special. Now i don't even care if my team wins it. Many of the players only been there a year or 2 and will transfer out next season anyway. I used to go to some of the bowl games but now I wouldn't even consider it.
