Palantir, AI, and the oncoming police state - ushered in (inadvertently) under Trump

Not Trump’s intention, he would be TOTALLY against this…
HOWEVER, if you are tech-savvy and leary enough of big government/private equity getting in bed together with big tech and “AI”, you can clearly see the writing on the wall…
Led by Palantir, the CIA, Musk, Google, Gates, NVIDIA, etc - a convergence of interests is leading to a MASSIVE increase of live surveillance and an abuse of 4th amendment rights.
For example, a cop pulling you over could theoretically see your bank accounts, purchase history, location history, every camera you've been caught on, etc before even walking up to your vehicle based on your license plate alone.

Those 4th amendment rights have already been trampled upon and we allowed it to happen even after being warned repeatedly that having cameras on your smart TV, your laptop, your phone, every damn thing, was a bad idea.
The problem is that the law is written in such a way as to say "protection against unwarranted search and seizure beyond which is commonly accepted by the public." Meaning, those rights are already gone. And we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

I only said “theoretically” because not all police forces have access yet. Bigger police forces can already see this information.

Why would this surprise anyone. Android and Apple know everything you search, everything you type on your phone, everywhere you go. And they all sell it, with your permission because you accepted it when you bought it, to anyone willing to buy it to include government.
ETA, the default setting should be they get nothing and you have to opt in versus opt out. I think the EU is actually pursuing some of this.

If what you're saying is correct, then we need some federal guidelines as to what ANYONE can easily obtain about you. WTF would a street cop need that information. They need to now about arrest history and oustanding warrants and not a damn thing more.

Exactly. We are at a pivotal moment in history. It was imperative that Trump took the White House in 2016. If he hadn't we would be in WW3 right now with the shitbags controlling these new levers of power. They would make us all slaves, the ones they didn't kill.
