When you live in the south and you have some you get to watch them show up, be standoffish and mumble sweet nothings into the sweet potato pie. It’s weird. Because they use to be fun.

I used to think folks on here were lying about their deranged coworkers. I didn't think "working people" could be that fricking stupid until I moved out of the Deep South. Now here I am working with a bunch of loons.

My folks and my wife are all liberal, but they know that politics are not discussed whenever I’m around.
My dad is from up north, so his entire side is the family is very liberal. Back when I was still in Facebook, I had to unfollow all odd then because they constantly posted absolute nonsense.

The old school democrat union men are the only real men left in the democrat party, and a significant number of them have turned red over the past ten years. They see the writing on the wall and understand parties have begun to make a massive shift.

We have a branch of my family (step-brothers and their wives) that lean left but for the most part my family is conservative. We avoid getting into politics when we get together. It’s just not worth it.
There was one time at Christmas that it was briefly brought up by my sister-in-laws when Trump was running against Hillary. They said Hillary was more qualified to be President. I just laughed and they shut up about it.
