Potential LSU football transfers should not play in this bowl game

IMO. If a player intends to declare for the transfer portal, they should turn in all their crap and be done with the team. If they don’t want to be here then they shouldn’t be allowed to play in the bowl game. I get it, this bowl game doesn’t mean much, but it should be reserved for the players that intend to stay here so they can get more reps. Not for the ones that want to transfer out.
It just doesn’t make sense to me. This is more of a get off my lawn type of rant.

It's up to the coaches. Most get paid bonuses for winning a bowl game and kids just want to play ball.

The bigger problem is that bowl games should be played the week after the season ends
Waiting a month when school semester has ended means players are ready to move on

Going forward does this include upperclassmen who plan on declaring for the NFL draft including if it's an upcoming playoff game? Same concept.

If you played on the 2025 team, you deserve every right to play in the 2025 bowl.

Yes, I understand that is a situation but if they’re gonna play hardball, then they should just get out. If they are that worried about playing in this game, then they shouldn’t transfer.
But the real question is with a couple of these o lineman, is that they don’t deserve more money, and some of the guys may also are just being processed

My point was specifically for transfer portal, not the draft. The guys entering the draft are leaving for another league, not for another team in college football.
Most of the guys are going to the NFL usually opt out of the bowl game, But not the playoffs. Beau pribula entered the transfer portal before the college playoffs last season and couldn’t play in the college playoffs.
This situation is more reason for the NCAA and college football to get their calendar right so we don’t have all these situations, along with the coaches situation as well.

Whether you want to hear it or not, it's the same concept especially when an upperclassmen is leaving to go pro with a year or two of eligibility remaining.

In the portal era, I think the bowl games actually mean more. It gives guys that aren’t entering the portal and didn’t play this year a chance to get valuable experience. The coaches will get to see what those guys can do against another team.
