Oline was trash. Complete overhaul is necessary.

People will melt again but I for one am for a complete oline rebuild, even if we have to go and grab a bunch of 3 star level talents in the portal.

Well coached 3 stars in a good system > Poorly coached 4 & 5 stars in a shite system

Wrong. You got rid of the problem with the coach. Don’t get rid of the talent also. Starting from scratch everytime is stupid

The interior sucked outside Moore. If anyone wants to stay, you get a pay decrease as Lane already basically said. You have a valuation on your performance. If you suck, you need to prove it before you get paid. He didn't directly say it like this but that's what he's saying when he evaluates a player and puts a dollar amount on them. I'd keep Curne and Moore possibly Adams let the rest walk. You need a reset here. It's not just coaching it's the players too. In order to be as bad as they are it has to be them both together. Let's not act like a few guys on this roster belong anywhere near a starting lineup in the SEC. Chester, Mubenga, Davis, thank you for your service but time to replace you.

I'm not saying you don't try to retain them. I just feel that if they ask for more money than you think they're worth or simply want a change of scenery, you let them walk and don't lose sleep over it.

Elchols was undersized imo.

New O-line coach,……reading the room I’m sure. Look for more of this. Get with it or get out.

Davis was the worst lineman. When he did something right he'd still do something wrong...like hurt one of our players. He was that bad.

Damn... I would've been pretty content with Curne and Echols both starting at Guard next season.

I trust the staff but it's hard to replace starters on the OLine like these two guys when there are already lots of portal needs.

These names are coming out because Lane apparently did a roster evaluation with Glasscock the past week or 2. I'm guessing he sat guys down and gave them a number. Some guys probably don't like it but it is what it is.

Played the worst. Probably has the biggest upside of them all.

If we're losing Curne and Echols, we NEED to hang on to Thomas and Miller.

There is no doubt about what positions Lane & Co. will be going after in the portal.

If he wants to sit behind someone to develop, sure, he's a depth piece. I doubt they keep him around when you can get someone likely what he's being paid in the portal who's proven already. That's basically what Lane was saying on HS recruits. Why should he sign a roster of 30 when he can just target 15 of the best players and then spend the rest in the portal on guys who are actually proven to be good in NCAA football. HS players incoming are for depth with potential homeruns.

The way he sees it, they're one year rentals anyway so would you rather 1 year rental money on a proven portal player or an unknown HS kid coming in? I think he has the right mindset. So the few he targets in HS he wants them to be elite blue chips that are the hardest to miss when they're on campus.

I’m not here to doom & gloom, but if there were any youngsters I’d have thought we’d have liked to keep around on the O-line — would have been Curne and Echols

We need to find almost a full 2-deep in the transfer portal.
