Brady
Manning
Brees
Rivers
Luck (era extended a hair)
Roethlisberger
Rodgers
Stafford
Favre
Warner

Far superior to current QB play in general in the NFL which is why old man rivers can slice up the 9ers. Imagine Super Bowl mvp QB Jalen hurts at 44 trying to carve up a defense.

Stafford should be in there as well.

I think Eli might would be considered a top 3/4 qb in today’s nfl. I’d throw him in.

I would add Jim Kelly and to that list and Favre if he fits into that era.

They are from the previous generation in my opinion but there is an omission:

Kurt Warner

I thought of both Kelly and Favre after I made my post. I knew I missed a few guys. Even a guy like Randall Cunningham was before his time.

I was a Saints fan, but 1984 Marino was probably the greatest year by a QB of all time.

If you actually appreciated the game of football, you'd understand why QBs these days aren't able to put up the numbers.

But alas.

What’s crazy is that guys like Romo, Newton, Ryan are definitely within that group that were debated aa being top 10 or not and they’d be bonafide top 5 guys right now.

Same with Stafford. He just happened to stick around long enough and is going win an MVP at damn near 40

In 1994 alone, you had

Marino
Montana
Young
Elway
Favre
Moon
Esiason
Kelly
Bledsoe
Cunningham
Aikman

Some were finishing up while others were just starting, but to me the mid 90s was the Golden Age of the quarterback. These dudes with today's rules and offenses would be insane.

Domino's Pizza had a quarterback trading card giveaway during the 90s I finally managed to get the full set and then stopped ordering Domino's

1978 was the biggest defensive rules changes ever. DBs could grab the WRs at the line of scrimmage and play very physical...there is a reason QB and WR stats were so low back then
