Lets be honest: Forget the G5, the Big 12 and ACC have no business being in either

I agree with everyone saying the G5 has no business in the playoff. Half of those schools shouldn’t even have fricking football programs. I just want to take the next logical step and block these trash arse peewee “Power 4” football teams out as well.

The Big 12 is 1-7 (1-8 if you include shitty Cincinnati), and has gotten absolutely destroyed in every game. And that one win was a complete fluke and TCU got absolutely arse-blasted by Georgia. Take out pre-NIL Clemson (which is never coming back) the ACC has gotten destroyed too (A&M shot themselves in the foot and lost, Miami didn’t win and will get killed by tOSU).

We only need the SEC and Big Ten in the playoffs. Those are the only teams in college football that are actually fricking good. If you shutout all the other shitty conferences, it would be a great competitive product. Nobody wants to watch shitty Texas Tech or BYU or SMU. Let the big boys play.

Texas Tech is better than every SEC team this year except Georgia.

Miami just beat an SEC team on the road who only had 1 loss.

Take out every example that ruins my made up narrative and then I’m right!!

An ACC just beat an 11-1 SEC team on the road

A 5-7 ACC team beat an SEC team that just advanced to the quarterfinals

It’s funny how when you have to play the games the false narratives are easy to see. Maybe the playoffs should just include SEC teams as that seems to be the only way you get a team into the Natty game. Better yet, let’s just let the media pick the National Champ so we can just rotate Ohio St, ND, and Bama depending on who ESPN tells them who to vote for.

Texas Tech is legit. Yeah the big 12 has struggled in the playoffs but almost all of their losses were at least close.

If they want to expand the playoffs to 16, then I propose we give every FBS conference champion a spot in the field. 10 conference champs and 6 at-large. Top 8 seeds and first round home game reserved for conference champs. If you can’t win your conference, you get to go on the road in the first round

Winning the B1G or SEC conference championship game would be a big deal since it probably locks you into a top 2 seed and a first round matchup against a MAC or MWC team.

Is this someone who works at ESPN? Because this is a scenario every executive at ESPN jerks off to which is why ESPN has absolutely destroyed college football.

To be fair, it was a former BIG12 team.

Based on what I have seen lately, the answer is no.

Odd melt. Texas Tech is better than every SEC team. Alabama (runner up of the SEC) lost to Florida St

A 5-7 ACC team dominated Alabama. Miami just went into College Station and won.

Maybe it doesn't mean more

I actually want this to happen so that the program's not invited to the super league can go back to a product somewhat resembling collegiate sports instead of Temu NFL

You guys pushing this "the SEC and B1G should break off on their own" narrative are idiots. If you want to kill college football quickly, that's how you do it. (Frankly, I think it's terminal, anyway). The national interest would dry up and when that happens, goodbye TV contracts.
