Christmas Eve & December 26th are now federal holidays

Curious how that will affect bank branches that close on Federal Holidays. I'm pretty sure there is some kind of law that banks can't be legally closed for more than 3 (might be 4, can't remember) consecutive days.

He's not making it a holiday in the same way Biden made Juneteenth a perpetual holiday. It's just a single day at his discretion. The statement just says 2025

Biden and Trump did make Christmas Eve off for most years they were in office. This is the first I’ve ever seen for the 26th.

It's not a single day. That has been done before and even by him. He is making it a three-day holiday this year, which as far as I know, has not been done before.
