Factors affecting your credit score

Slow night for me. So, I logged into a credit bureau, and pulled my free credit report.
Mine are:
I have 1 hard inquiry, and it was in November 2024.
I ChatGPT'd "Your largest credit limit on open bankcard or credit card accounts is too low" and it said, "You only have starter or secured cards
Your cards all have relatively small limits (e.g., $500–$2,000)
You closed a card that had a higher limit"
My lowest credit card limit is $15,000.00 with USAA for my VISA card. Why? Because USAA only gives out a total of $50,000 in credit limits to its customers. My other USAA American Express has a CL of $35,000. I have two other credit cards, one by Chase, and the other by Discover Card, that have over a $40,000 limit on each.
I owe zero. No house. No car. No credit card. No personal loan.
See above.
Do credit bureaus just make up shite?

Total of all balances on bankcard or credit card accounts is too high.
The balances on your accounts are too high compared to loan amounts.

If you have an 820 you will still have things hurting your credit score. Doesn't really matter.
They probably assign 5 things for their report. .002% hanging around could be #5. It is an automated report.

So you have an 847 instead of 850 because of a few grand in balances on revolving accounts?
“Hurting your score” can just mean kept you just short from a perfect score

Credit scores are a measure of how profitable you are.
You sound pretty stingy, hence the dings.
You'll be OK.

Last month, I was actually 850. This month, I am 845.
Literally, nothing has changed.

I really don't have any future plans to use my "credit" so to speak, except a credit card that I use montly, and pay off weekly.

Just checked mine. 813/794.
Weird because I haven’t carried a loan in over a decade (no mortgage, never had a car loan, and never carry credit card balances over). I pay off my credit card balance every 2 weeks. Other than that just paying bills. Figured it’d be worse since I’m not a debtor’s target audience.

Last I looked it said something like revolving debt too high or something like that and have always paid off in full every month for 30 years

Surprised you have over 800 without a loan. Pretty unusual.
Though if you don't take loans not sure why your credit score matters. Kind of how that works.

Slow night, for me.
And I received an email from TransUnion.
So, I did.

I agree. Don’t care about my score. Was just shocked it was that high.

What was the single hard credit check?

I was planning to finance a vehicle at a very low interest rate, but decided against it, and just paid cash for it.
Peace of mind won out over interest rate.

One thing will tell you all you need to know about these credit reporting companies.
The same company that determines your score will offer to sell you a “service” to raise your score.
They can go frick themselves.

It's all bullshite. I have a 799 because I dont have anything but a few credit cards that I pay off monthly and carry zero balance. No house mortgage, no car loans or anything and I haven't applied for financing in over 5 years. And that was a 2019 Tundra at 0%.
It used to be higher but I don't care to play their credit score games.
