So not long after Eric’s license was suspended in the late 90s or early 2000s, Dudley de Bossier took over his building. When he was in practice, E was one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in Baton Rouge at that time. DDb’s practice grew extremely fast. I had always assumed that they bought the practice from E. Does anyone know?. I wonder if there was an agreement where Eric would get a certain percentage for set amount of years or something like that. Can anyone confirm?

There was a clause that allowed him to get back in if he ever got his license back. After he got it back they changed their minds so he sued them. I don’t know what the outcome was.

If that’s accurate, I guess a decent settlement.

Bartended at Flemings in college and after he paid his bill, I turn back around and he spred E Eric Guirard pens across the length of the bar. IIRC Think it was right after he got his licenses back. Thats all I got. Oh and he was short had died hair and looked like make-up on.

Their number is all 4's so the refrain is "throw your fours up" (more accurately, throw yo' foes up).

For the longest time the wife and I thought the rapper was mumble-rapping "Dudley DeBosier" by saying "Dully Fo'zhuh."

E is my neighbor. Not right nextdoor, but not far down the street either. "That Broome don't sweep" seems like the last time he was really in the public eye much. I'm not sure what he does these days.

If you are actually interested in it, here is a written Q&A done with Dudley and DeBosier during the transition

But E added D & D as partners before he lost his license.

quote:

The Transition from “E” to “D”

After E and Tommy were disbarred by the Louisiana Supreme Court, Dudley DeBosier Injury Lawyers was given only 10 days to remove everything “E” related from the law firm previously known as E Eric Guirard Injury Lawyers. Chad Dudley discusses with One Shot how the turbulence of an unwanted transition seems like smooth sailing.

In fairness, I despise ALL of the blood sucking, ambulance chasing personal injury vermin that keeps Louisiana in the shitter and has us all paying inflated premiums. But after E got dinged, then usurped by the ungrateful Dudley Debosier cabal, I genuinely felt bad for him.

At the very least, neither E or DD use Bible quotes on billboards which is absolutely the lowest of the low. Everytime I see a Gordon Bible quote, I can't believe the depravity. Its amazing that it isn't mocked mercilessly by the general public. It's so unbelievably sad, immoral and sick. The fact it isn't remotely rejected en masse tells me all I need to know about how fricked up this shithole state truly is.

Your head may explode to learn that Gordon has written multiple books on the biblical basis to sue someone.

There are restrictions on what you can buy and sell when it comes to law firms. You can’t sell cases because the clients decide who their lawyer is going to be. That is not something the selling lawyer has the right to sell.
