Does Ole Miss realize we went 7-5 with a losing conference record?

Hiring all of our staff members that aren’t being retained seems like a bold move.

I had the same thought. Did Pete actually watch LSU play this year?

They have little brother syndrome. And they will be back in the basement of the SEC soon. They can’t hang with the big boys without a name like Kiffin leading the show.

Frank has been here the whole Kelly era. Yep. Great times. We are doomed without him. Lol

In the surface, yes that’s accurate. Let’s not act like they didn’t make a big hire here with Frank. Kudos to them, still TBD if he allows a hot RB to stay in the game.

But did they? We literally told him to move on.

Yes, no need to act like we didn’t want Frank on staff. We didn’t tell Frank to move on because we didn’t want him. Kevin Smith is better, we don’t have enough room for 2 RB coaches.

We literally said "you won't be on the coaching staff" so he took his ball and went home.

You do realize it’s possible to have talented individuals in a poor performing organization or group correct?

Ok, not here to argue. If it makes you feel better to think he wasn’t wanted if Kevin Smith didn’t exist then good for you.

Dude. He exists. He's a much better coach. You can't make an argument and exclude a big reason why Frank was shown the door.

We agree, I’ve been wanting Kevin Smith to replace Frank since the Monday after Lane was hired.

I think my initial point/opinion was lost that Ole Miss made a big hire with Frank. That’s it, I don’t think they could have made a better hire at RB coach than Frank. Although I think his on field coaching has been trash. Could be the O-Line making him look bad though.

And I don’t want Frank coaching the bowl. Let Baker do it. Frank see ya.

Watching Mascona. He’s not taking it well. Claiming he knew about it before the news broke and he should have broken the story.

Who have they hired who bears significant responsibility for our poor showing this season? Frank, maybe.

Austin Thomas did a great job here, by most accounts, as he did at Ole Miss before that.

Frank Wilson, while he may be less than stellar as a running backs coach (people argue both sides of this; I will argue neither), is still and has always been a great recruiter. While it is not a replacement for NIL in these modern times, it can still have an effect and help land 50/50 guys. Ole Miss will need that since their head coach doesn't bring the appeal that Kiffin did.

Until they hire Brad Davis, Joe Sloan, or Brian Kelly, I don't think they are really hiring the people who induced our 7-5 season. Honestly, if Brad Davis had managed to put together a reasonably effective O-line or if Kelly had moved on from Davis early on, Sloan's tenure probably looks much better.

I wish every team we played this coming year had the 2024 LSU offensive staff. We would have a serious shot at the natty, and I don't even know what our Qb's name is. that is how bad that group is and was.....well done OM, well done.

LSU at 7-5 is a better job than ole miss at 11-1

What does that say about the two programs as a whole?
