They are running for the exits over there.
That team had a shitload of talent coming back.
And they finally had an easier schedule.
But hey, it don't break my heart if florida is terrible

They had a solid team this past season. Way better than the record indicated

Which is why he deserved to be fired

Ummm he was 22-23 at Florida. A losing record.

The premise of the OP is retarded, Florida had to get rid of him, if anything, they should have done it last year and would have had Lane in the bag then
But there's no way Napier should still be there, talented team or not

Napier was not good. Underperformed his predecessor, Dan Mullen, by a mile.

Napier did a very poor job at Florida. They had no choice but to let that bum go.

They thought they could get CLK. They didn't expect the LSU job to come available this year right after they fired Napier. They figured they'd be the best job available in the SEC.

? We haven’t lost anyone of much value yet.
The 5 we need to retain are Baugh, D Wilson, VB3, Woods, and Graham. 2/5 have already said they’re returning.

Florida's schedule has been brutal for the last 3 years.

I dont give a frick
you cant go 22-23 at florida and expect to retain your job....sorry. Same with LSU, UGA, Bama....
napier was great at organizing things and behind the scenes stuff, but he sucked when it came to game planning and game day, especially on offense and he was hard headed as a mother fricker. more stubborn than even BK, which says a lot.
now as CAW has mentioned, florida needs to do some soul searching and decide if they want to be a big time football school in this day and age. if they do....they need to think long and hard if Stricklin is the guy to lead them. I do not think he is, but im outside looking in.

I actually don’t think they could have gotten Lane last year. Strickland as AD refused to give up control of the program to Lane. Same issue we would have had if fat boy Scott wasn’t fired first.

If you really believe this you are a retard. Napier was atrocious at UF.

If some kids don't want to earn their keep, its easy to find i75.
FWIW Myles Graham echoed that exact sentiment regarding Coach Sumrall and staff link to article
quote:
“We loved him, man. He was intense. He told us straight up that he wasn’t going to back down,” Graham told the collective. “He was ready for the challenge and we loved him. I feel like a lot of guys bought into that.”

agree 100%
i think he is allowing the boosters to kind of go rogue too and has for a while. needs to get control of the situation and get organized on the NIL front
austin thomas really helped with that part of things for LSU last 2 years and has lane really setup with success with lots of front loaded contracts.

All Stricklin cars about his the stupid stadium renovation and the big booster who is most publicly involved (not to say we don’t also have quieter big booster) owns a construction company…
