How colossal of a frick up are you as a parent if your 15 year old goes to rehab?

The Reiner’s failed as parents and were more concerned with Trump then tending to their own house. It’s a fundamental problem today, people with TDS trying to lecture the rest of us while their personal lives are complete disasters. Take care of your own first and foremost, be the model family and then you cocksuckers can lecture the rest of us!

That's pretty young.. especially for a family that has the means to better shield their children.

Age 15 is just the first rehab stint- right at his 15th birthday iirc... he was using at 14 or even younger.

The old man went to rehab over Trump. That family had at least 2 nutjobs.

As fricked up as this world currently is, along with all the instant access to everything, I'll withhold judgement.

My kid hasn't had any of that shite, but I know of others who come from damn good families. And ones who vote like the OP apparently does.

This world is just really fricked.

Having a child that goes to rehab could be a sign of a great parent.

Getting treatment for a situation, that is much better than ignoring it.

Need to look at it on a case by case basis

Total failure.

100%

Choosing to live in California was probably 50% of it.

Sounds like they tried to care for their own and put him in rehab.

Reiner might be a POS but this is a low post. Families go through rough times. You should probably do some soul searching and grow the frick up.

If Rob Reiner was as shitty a dad as he was a public figure then it explains everything.

Bad take. You (nor any of us) know the situation.

Could be the best thing they could’ve done for him. Some kids have great parents/families and still get into all kinds of trouble.

Older, yes...

... but how the hell does a 14yr old, properly parented, get hooked on anything to the point of rehab as a 15th birthday present?

That's what I don't get... mine are 25 and 16... at 14 they weren't free-range to the point of even having a chance to develop such addictions. They can't work, can't drive..

nick reiner is 32, so his first trip to rehab was 17 years ago, long before trump even sniffed the white house. and 3 years after that he was an adult and his parents, while they can offer support which they obviously did since he went to rehab a dozen or so more times, they can't force him to do anything. and if you've ever dealt with an addict, that won't work anyway
were they shitty parents? i don't know and neither do you. i'd imagine rob was very busy and gone for long times for work. i'd imagine that kid growing up in hollywood with lots of money had access to lots of things most of us didn't at an early age
regardless, try to have an ounce of class and not say stupid shite like your thread title

Typical democrat. Shitty parent who’s not willing to make tough decisions. His ideology ruined a life, not his.

Plenty of good kids get into drugs. Money means he has access to more than the average kid would have. I would bet most of the parents on here who think their kids never tried anything, would be shocked by the % of kids who actually have tried drugs. Including their kids.

But you clowns keep pouring on the Meathead hate and pretend it is different than the Kirk hate. Sure it isn't as bad as the gleeful fricks who danced over Charlie's death but it is just as classless.

Nah..I’ve known some good kids from good families that made bad decisions and fell in with the wrong crowd. It happens. Trust me.

Just yesterday a guy was shot by a neighbor attacking his girlfriend trying to stab her.

Domestic incidents like this happen everyday. Being assassinated for your political beliefs does not.
