There's a strange "clinging" effect people have to a person with whom they have absolutely no relationship at all. Rob Reiner was not a nice person, and the words he spoke and wrote make me fairly certain that he wasn't a good person either.

Because you don't kick a man when he is down (or dead in this case). Don't say anything if you can't say something civil. Listen to Reiner's statement after CK died (which probably would have been about the same if it had been Trump) and you can see how it should be done IF SOMEONE ASKS. Otherwise, say nothing. Did his parents not teach him how to do this? They taught him a lot of good stuff, but they seemed to have missed this lesson.

Because the POTUS should not be a huge a-hole who slams the recently murdered.
Trump fan-boys are showing they are trash by supporting such behavior. There is no excuse for what he said other than his ego is the most important thing to him, not the dignity of the office nor the people of this country and Reiner had landed hits on his ego.
