Reiner didn't get murdered for words. Reiner got murdered because apparently his kid is a POS drug addict.

Charlie's assassination was a national tragedy.
Rob's murder was a family tragedy. I think everyone understands whose death had a bigger impact and which one will be missed by more and a more diverse group of people. Certainly it's clear who was the better person.
