Work as advertised, but by design they drip water which makes a huge mess in your yard unless you have a big vessel underneath it or put it at the end of a hose going to a drain

My seals are 8-9 inches inside the house. I just put little insulated drawstring bags over the exposed metal.

I used them last year when it got close to 0. They worked perfectly.

Recommend. Have them at the second home - it saves me the extra trips in the wintertime.

Not much of a mess here, just a chunk of ice under the spigot. Used to have the foam insulators with the hard plastic shell but a stray dog destroyed one and a racoon chewed on the other so gave the Freeze Misers a shot last year with no issues, even when it got down to single digits for a few nights.

Do they replace the need to drip water inside the house?

Only if on a common run which would be pretty rare.

Love them. Also minimal mess. Put them on last weekend. Will likely leave them til Feb and never once worry about them.

Feels like tremendous value to not have to worry about forgetting some random dip
