Why would I?

I take two drugs. One is free and the other is $4 dollars for a 90 day supply.

Maybe I'm not your target audience.

Yes.

If your prescription is among the listed medications, it's usually a good deal. There is a shipping charge, so you have to factor that in too. It's best to offset that by ordering several at once.

You do have to work with the doctor to get it set up, but it works pretty well for most generic medications and I have found it to be as cheap or cheaper than my insurance.

You can also do refills about halfway through the prescription, so you don't have an insurance company delaying the refill until it's almost out, which is more convenient.

This right here is enough to make me look into it.

Yes, quite a few times.

Delivery takes about 5 to 7 business days, unless you use express services, so plan accordingly.

Significantly less expensive than traditional pharmacies, including Amazon.

They don't carry all and/or every medication that a traditional pharmacy has -- at least this has been my experience.

I own a health insurance agency and have a large Medicare practice so I spend a considerable amount of time each day helping clients lower their RX costs. Mark's Cost Plus website is like any other discount prescription distributor. Good pricing on some....not so good on others.
For example: The latest RX search I did today was for a client who last Friday was prescribed Propranolol ER 160MG as needed which is normally 2 times per day for his condition.
GoodRx at his local pharmacy was around 8.00 per month. Mark's website was 13.00 per month and must be shipped. Not a huge difference in this case but with many other prescriptions the difference between suppliers can be significant. If you want the best pricing you need to research all the discount sites such as GoodRX & SIngleCare as well as Canadian pharmacies and for the really expensive brand name drugs still under patent the coupons available directly from the manufacturer.

I self insure and take an asthma medicine that for some reason no insurance company covers and is pretty expensive.

I hate going to the pharmacy, so I rarely go. There’s always some dipshit cheapskate at the counter in front of me bitching that their prescription should be $3, not $10. These idiots will stand there for 15 minutes arguing over a few dollars while people wait. If I ever snap, it’s going to be on some MF’er like this. And I’ll leave them with a $10 bill stuffed in their mouth.

This is the only product people buy that they don’t think they should have to pay for. It’s insane! You pay for your groceries, your gas, your toothbrush, your shoes..everything. So why do people have the mentality that they deserve prescriptions for almost nothing?

Go to doctor, get prescription, take medicine. Rinse, repeat.

I pay $200 for my medication, the people at the pharmacy are just so confused can’t even comprehend somebody paying cash.

But ant least you can tell everybody at parties how good your insurance is. And then thank that “good insurance “ for how expensive medical care is.

Lou, I understand your frustration but I can assure you that if you do a bit of research your costs can be reduced.
This year the Trump administration attacked around 20 common expensive prescriptions still under patent with no alternatives and negotiated repricing for 2025 & 2026 and this included a couple of COPD/ Asthma inhalers. They were very successful. Last I checked it was 15 and counting.
Despite this your local pharmacy has to agree to the repricing and many do not. It requires a bit of work on your end. In researching drug pricing many times I'll find a prescription that is 12 dollars for a 90 day supply at CVS and 48 dollars for a 90 day supply across the street at Walgreens. It all depends on the distribution channels to the pharmacies in your area.
