For me it's when I come home and she has bought a bunch of oil lanterns and stocked up on can foods. Then I'll ask her if she is watching Yellowstone super volcano videos again. But this time it was sun flares that are going to mess us up at the end of the month. And don't get me started on AI videos. God bless her.

My mom always falls for this kind of shite, too! Gets her credit card # stolen at least once per month!

My mom is a grandma and that's pretty much what she does. It was to the max during covid.

My MIL sends me screen shots of whatever fake Facebook article she read recently. Nick Saban agreed to coach lsu at least five times according to her over the last couple months.

I helped my friend move his dad into a “retirement village.” He had 6 iPads and was asked why so many but didn’t get an answer. My friend later told me he had 6 iPads because he’d forget the passcode so he’d just buy another one

The dude had tons of crap he bought off the web, had a large freezer jam packed with bulk items he’d never eat half of.

Olds + easy access to online shopping is like giving a 5 year old a credit card. Every day is Christmas!

Sad but funny. The ads in between the videos that say "your eye doctor does not want you to see this" then a forced no pause video with lab coat experts that say rub three green olives on your temple and buy these pills for ringing in your ear.

That's my mother-in-law! Always sharing the most ridiculously fake AI videos with her comments--

-- otters dig out and save a beached whale- "isn't nature amazing - animals are naturally loving and caring!"

-- a 747 takes off from an aircraft carrier- "wow, never knew they could do that!"

I gave up on letting her know what was fake after I told her those Peyton Manning photos/stories were fake and AI.

Like my wife said, just let Mamaw have her fun near the end of her life...

Her new one is the dude that plays Jesus on the chosen.
He has a ton of videos I guess talking about the end times are here. She keeps telling me a have to watch them. I just tell her I am busy watching a video of a baby beating up a gorilla on YouTube.

My Mother in Law would watchThe Waltons. I went to bed and the next morning I asked her about her show, She answered," I turned it off. They got into a gunfight, I got disgusted and just turned it off".

Actually she went to sleep, watching The Waltons. She awoke, The Waltons had gone off and there was a "Shoot em up" Western on the Tube.

My MIL is Vietnamese and lives with us. We have directv only so she can watch all the viet channels. She sits around all day watching viet soap operas or movies or whatever and those shows bombard the view with advertisements during the commercials. We get a big box of Korean ginseng or Japanese medicine or whatever just about every week because she said it helps her…but she never feels good.

I would be shocked if my parents who are grandparents mid to late 60s, if they have ever watched a YouTube video in their entire life. I’d bet against it. But my mom, the grandma, spends hours on Instagram looking at interior decorating stuff, and other Southern Belles profiles like that Brighton Keller girl.

OK, but she has to be single, and love to mingle!

As for you, I get some kitty time in the deal. Both OC and New Kitty.
