Trey Murphy has quietly been balling lately.

Up to averaging 21ppg, which is ranked 29th in the league right now. He’s also had a few 30+ point games recently.

Tonight he was 10 of 13, with only 1 made three. He’s really finding ways to get the basket, and not just relying on being a deep threat.

Build around Trey, Queen, and Fears. That’s 3 solid pieces.

He’s finally finishing around the rim alot more than attempting tough mid range shots all the time and dribbling for 12 seconds

Queens passing has helped for sure

Yeah Trey was good inside 3 tonight.

Poole should help him have some space too. I liked the lineup at the end of the game with Fears/Poole/Trey/McGowens/Queen and I think they rotated Bey in for a little bit. Can’t do it against every team but I bet it would be successful most of the time.

When he’s not asked to handle the ball too much, and he can play primarily as a catch and go guy he’s so much better. Not sure his true value without the ability to create off the dribble, but I like him as a secondary option when you can have someone else with the ball facilitating the offense (eg Queen, fears, Poole)

Yeah he’s not a #1 ball handler and that’s fine.

We should not be looking to trade Trey or Herb unless we get a godfather offer.

Fears and Queen playing with good NBA players like herb and trey is good for their development.

Having Poole on the floor with Queen the other night really helped Trey out a lot, hopefully that will continue.

I swear to God if we trade Trey for Kuminga I might truly be out on the Pelicans.
