Looks like he wants out and of Cinci, Shough is looking like a promising QB.

The risk is Burrows durability, but only 3 years older.

Of course.

What’s the pricetag?

I’d personally give the farm.

I’m not sure we could or should get it done, but I’d imagine Shough and a first would probably put us in the conversation.

I think we stay the course and build forward, just curious what the rant thinks.

He’s wanting to leave Cincy because of his oline’s inability to protect him; I doubt he’ll want to come to a team that has similar oline issues.

if he gives up on Cincy, how can we not guarantee he does the same here, and we give up our current QB and collateral?

Fuuuuuck no.

At no point during the successful portions of his collegiate and nfl career has Joe burrow ever not had multiple Excellent to Elite weapons. He's never proven that he can elevate an average or below average group of players.

So we’re going to trade for THAT during the middle of our rebuild and give away multiple first round picks to take on his massive contract and surround him with a bunch of meh. Add the fact that he’s often injured and it sounds like the Carr years on steroids.

Besides our own OL issues, he wouldn’t have near the targets here that he has in Cincy. I do think a coach like Kellen Moore would be perfect for Joe.

No, this Saints roster needs a lot of young talent, and trading for Burrow would cost us a fortune. We would essentially end up with Burrow surrounded by a roster that is bad and old with no picks to replenish the talent.

No. Saints are the same as Cincy, just without Burrow and Chase.

Even with Burrow, the Saints still need another elite WR, a very good LT, a very good DE, and another elite player at either CB, RB, or S to be a contender.

Now if the trade were Burrow and Chase for three 1sts, two 2nds, Olave and another player the Saints could save cap money on, the yes.
