Do we want Underwood or extra NIL $$$ for The Portal?

Last year we spent our Underwood money on The Portal and were excited with the #1 transfer class in the country. Some were even thanking Underwood for not coming here, because of our Portal rank. It didn’t work out well. I’m in favor of having CLK spend the money on Underwood this time.

Underwood ain't leaving! This actually gives them the chance to hire a coach more suited for him. I think he stays.

Underwood would be a colossal wasted of time and money for LSU. Let other teams pay and try to coach him up. He is waaaay behind from what I have seen, and my MI friends are in complete agreement.

The defense was light years better than in the past thanks to spending Underwoods NIL on the portal. Not to mention Underwood sucked.
Underwood's 2025 stats: 61.1% Cmp%, 2229 Yards, 7.6 yards/attempt, 9 TDs, 6 INTs, 323 Rushing yards, 5 Rushing TDs.
Nuss 2025 stats: 67.4% Cmp%, 1927 yards, 6.7 yards/attempt, 12 TDs, 5 INTs, -57 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD.
Nuss has fewer passing yards but more YPG (214.1 vs 185.8) and rushing yards, obviously. Underwood sucked this year. Would he do better under a Lane Kiffin offense? Probably but I'd rather spend any money it takes to get him somewhere else.

If Coach think's he's worth the money, then do it. If not, get someone else. He knows a thing or two about quarterbacks.

I think they should take a run at him for 4 mill. He can get a solid 2-3 yrs here with possibility of Heisman, top draft pick, and huge numbers with the team that is being assembled. You have to sell it that LSU can't sink 8 million into him because LSU needs it for your supporting cast.
For a true freshman, he was pretty good. It is going to be what coaches think of his decision making and how quick he made those decisions. The smarts and quickness of reads and then reaction is the key.

Yep whatever coach decides. He knows what qb he wants in his offense so whoever he picks sounds good. To say anything else is honestly asinine.

Portal has proven 1 thing. Experienced upperclassmen QBs are what champions are built of.
