Shaya. I have not heard this but I have been wondering what would happen to it.

He’s opening a casual eatery and take out spot in Lakeview as soon as the building is done.

Last I checked it was still for sale for 1.2 mill. I think a comeback in that location modernized would do great.

Upperline was a real loss. Always liked that place. Great location, but he has Saba going not far away. Wonder what kind of restaurant it will be.

I’ve always wanted to like Saba, but it’s nothing special IMO.

Kalshi has the odds up to 83% in favor of Shaya. There could be some truth to this

I think an announcement is imminent but the situation is fluid.

I would not be surprised.

I heard the La Petite folks took a look at it relatively recently as well, but decided against it.

Saba is insanely overpriced and nothing to write home to Israel about.

There are two very well funded PE groups in NO that are currently going hard on NO restaurants.

Alon is associated with one of those groups so......

Don't know about the property but Alon has a new cookbook coming out in 2026. Been in the works for almost a year now.

Correct, and if true it won’t be a good thing. Private equity has bought up a bunch of Vet practices, and I swear they’ve doubled the cost of pet ownership.
