I’m sure the folks at Ole Miss will resent the hell out of LSU. I’m sure they will be fired up to play LSU, and root against us mainly because of resentment towards Lane Kiffin. Just adds to the rivalry in my opinion.

OM was a rival but fell off in recent years. I'm sure we are at the top of their list now.

Historically, in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, Ole Miss was our arch rival.

Exactly what I was thinking. We’ll see how much the coach means after their next game. I think the play calling has to suffer evan though they have the templet in they’re hands.

“ Ole Miss students traditionally shout "Go to hell LSU" after the national anthem at football games. This chant has been a long-standing rivalry tradition”.

What do you think?

Ever heard of an Halloween night in Tiger Stadium or “turn your clock back 4 seconds” road signs.

I get it, I’m 58. What I don’t get is a person who calls himself old seemingly not realizing that the rivalry has existed for decades.

Ole Miss already was and still is. Not just the 1958 game with the Cannon run back.

Think LSU rallying from 21 down at Oxford, wasn’t that led by Steve Ensminger?

Think the pass to tailback Brad Davis with a second left.
Think of the thrilling comeback and OT win in 2024.
And there are other great LSU wins as well.

Ole Miss has always been a huge rival, they hate us more than MSU. They hate us as a big bro like we hate Bama as a big bro, except Bama actually has other rivals to focus on and we don’t. I wish more people embraced it instead of dismissed it so we could actually have a true rival.

Ole Miss & Tulane are our traditional rivals. A&M is somewhat of a regional rivalry, and Arkansas is a contrived rivalry with its own trophy.

The 1964 LSU 11-10 win over Ole Miss is extremely underrated and never included as one of the great moments in LSU football, and I don't know why. It was especially satisfying after the 3-37 shellacking from the year before.
