Tulane made the playoffs before the big powerhouse of louisiana. 12 teams get in, damn near half from the sec and tulane gets in first. RMFW

This is just sad. Enjoy this year because you don't have a coach anymore

Did they? Was LSU not in the playoffs in 2019?

We also won that thing called a Natty. How many of those does Tulane have?

Tulane is a 4 or 5 loss team in the SEC.

Has there been a year since 2019 that LSU has been the highest ranked in-state team end of season?

I think Tulane and UL have ranked higher every year.

Yea, yea they play an SEC schedule but still kind of sad when you consider all the money and resources Louisiana pours into LSU athletics compared to the other LA schools.

Umm, LSU’s DC, a Tulane alum, just turned down Tulane’s HC position to remain as LSU’s DC. Probably shouldn’t be yapping about being embarrassed.

I like Tulane, but I believe it'd be more like 6-7 losses. I don't think they'd beat State in Starkville, Auburn in Auburn, SC in Columbia, or Arky in Fayetteville and they all had 7 conference losses. I think they might go 0-8 with State's SEC schedule.

Even a 7-5 LSU didn’t lose to Ole Miss by 35… oh and then they took their coach. Who is Tulane gonna hire?

Tulane was GIVEN a participation spot in the playoffs due to a ridiculous rule. just because tulane is in the playoffs does not mean they earned the right to be there. the group of 5 spot needs to be taken away. i would imagine that rule gets revisited during the offseason. boise was warranted of the spot last year because they were basically ranked inside the top 15 the entire year. now you have a fringe top 25 team who played one playoff team this year and got beat by 30 inserted automatically in the playoffs. someone like miami, ND, or BYU will get left out and we'll watch tulane go somewhere like oregon and get beat by 3 touchdowns.

After reading the title, I thought this thread was going to be about Breiden Fehoko.

I’m sure Tulane would have made a good run in the SEC this year.

How many ranked teams did Tulane play during the regular season? Just one? The one game that they got their arse kicked? Stop it with the comparisons.

11-2 with that strength of schedule and getting a playoff birth is embarrassing. Having said that, happy for the kids and the coach. Hopefully they make some noise. RMFW
