The bowl team every self-loathing American is dreaming about.

Rice owl in a bowl is a delicacy in Mongolia

They are probably the smartest nerd school that finished with a 5-7 record, so yeah.

Between Rice and Auburn now they Kansas State has opted out?

Well for everyone lamenting the ruination of college football with NIL and the portal
Rice Owls going to a bowl game based upon their STUDENT-athletes is something we should all appreciate

I once coaxed my entire family (all LSU grads and future LSU grads) to attend a Rice / Tulane game in the Superdome by collecting Chiquita banana stickers and mailing them to Tulane AD or whatever for some random promotion that I saw advertised in the Times Picayune.
My parents thought it was adorable that their precocious ~8-year old son loved football so much that he undertook this project without anyone knowing.
My sisters wanted to murder me, but I still remember the beautiful Rice helmets and Tulane uniforms. Rice had a fantastic marching band if I recall. This was probably in the late 80s or early 90s.
Perhaps you were there too and we peed next to each other in the Superdome troughs, Owelie.

Rice and Tulane have my favorite shades of blue and green in all of CFB.

2 of my fave uniforms in football.
And not because I'm a Rice fan, I think that that shade of blue and Gray not silver but Gray really looks nice in a football uniform
I don't like some of the more recent updates of the uniforms, but the blue and Gray is a good look
I love Tulane's colors so unique and used classically. Tulane never went neon green or neon blue with the light colors like Oregon they stayed true to the colors, and I think it's a classi,c beautiful look
UCLA OK if you sense there's a theme, blue is my favorite color but 60's 70's Gary Beban ,,Bruin Blue and Gold ..sexy
And this is where I lose y'all for sure I also like Texas whites so clean
And because the burnt orange is so unique as a color/scheme, similar to Tulane, I like that they just went with uniqueness and a classic approach
and Georgia I don't like red
the red black and Gray color scheme is so fresh, so mean, which is good for college football
And frick it top six I love Ole Miss uniforms
