Impressive DL haul

Given the limited time Lane's been here, the uncertainty surrounding the defensive coaching positions, and all the attempted poaching from other schools....this may be as impressive a D-line haul as I can remember.
Now, we shall see who pans out, but the coaching staff's ability to keep this class together and actually add pieces is extraordinary given all the flux and confusion.
I feel this is a great premonition for the future. Everyone can feel it, not just us...geaux tigers

Sure but 5* and high 4* players pan out at a much higher rate than 3* and lower so I like our odds that we get some big time contributions from this group.

Without a doubt our best DL signing class since 2009: Mingo, Montgomery, Bennie Logan, Brockers, Josh Downs, and Chris Davenport (who was ranked higher than all of them).

TBF, these guys have been committed to LSU for a while now.
The difference is that if Kelly was sitting as a lame duck head coach, some of these guys probably would have bolted after the Baker to Tulane news was reported.

Yall think he could start as an edge as a freshman? He and Reliford would be a couple strong dudes at DE. I think Reliford breakout is coming but the other starter at that position is wide open before addressing it in the portal potentially.

Stars are just educated guesses. Better to be highly though of than not. Pretty simple logic.
This Dline haul is the foundation for a natty. Lane will have a field day in portal to restock the offense. And is a proven play caller. The future is bright. We gonna need sunglasses.
