Has any other CFB rivalry had a run of top 10 matchups like UF v. FSU?

1990 - #8 FSU v #5 UF
'91 - #5 UF v #3 FSU
'92 - #3 FSU v #6 UF
'93 - #1 FSU v #7 UF
'94 - #4 UF v #7 FSU
'95 - #3 UF v #6 FSU
'96 - #2 FSU v #1 UF
'97 - #10 UF v #2 FSU
'98 - #5 FSU v #4 UF
'99 - #1 FSU v #2 UF
2000 - #3 FSU v #4 UF

Wild they were both so consistent for a whole decade. I was born in 90 so I remember the tail end of this run slightly. Obviously wasn't a diehard CFB fan at that point but man that had to be fun to watch as a neutral fan.

Bama was ranked in the top 10 every year but LSU did not hold up their end of the bargain.

Nice run from 09-13 though.

I'm sure there is a Nebraska v Oklahoma run back in the day. The UF FSU being at the end of the year adds a cool factor too

That game had a really good run but 2014-2018 was kind of a lull. And then post 2019 has been another lull.

OSU / Michigan seems like they would have had a run of top 10 games at some point. Same for FSU vs Miami.

You listed 11 games, not 10.
They actually played 12 in that span (twice in ‘96)

Played twice in the 96 season, first as a 1v2 next as a 1v3 (although it was a de facto 1v2 as the actual #2 had already lost)

Goddamn how the mighty have fallen. The 90s were awesome with the Florida schools and Nebraska.

That run of dominance from both schools is a far cry from this season, where it was an unranked matchup between 2 teams who couldn't even become bowl eligible.

Maybe OU and Nebraska or USC/ND at some point.

FSU Miami around that same time had to be pretty close.

That was my favorite game of the year back in the 90’s. Always a HUGE matchup with title game implications on the line.

It's not, we don't even play each other every year anymore.

Auburn and Tennessee will always be our only rivals.

Notre Dame / USC in the 1960's and 1970's.

8 national titles combined for the two teams during the period.

yeah as of next year. It still doesn’t make it not a rivalry.

FSU and Miami from 1985 to 1994 is close:

1985 - #11 Miami vs. #10 FSU
1986 - #1 Miami vs. #20 FSU
1987 - #3 Miami vs. #4 FSU
1988 - #6 Miami vs. #1 FSU
1989 - #2 Miami vs. #9 FSU
1990 - #9 Miami vs. #2 FSU
1991 - #2 Miami vs. #1 FSU
1992 - #2 Miami vs. #3 FSU
1993 - #3 Miami vs. #1 FSU
1994 - #13 Miami vs. #4 FSU

After that, Miami drops off for four years due to sanctions. But Butch Davis gets Miami rolling again and the rivalry heats back up from 1999 to 2006.

11 straight years of top 10 matchups is actually insane. Good post OP
