IF it’s sunny, I’m ok in high 40s.

If cloudy, I need about 53 degrees.

I will often just play 9 if it’s wet and cold.

I’ll play when it’s freezing as long as the sun is out and there is no wind. If it’s windy, I’d prefer 60+.

If it’s below 60 and windy, I’m out.
No wind, I can still enjoy playing when it’s 45 degrees.

had this conversation yesterday.

I'm a born and raised southern Louisiana guy in the swamps. heat and humidity are my comfort....and now i take blood thinners, so cold weather to me sucks.....but its the damp Louisiana cold that is the worst.

dry/no wind, i could maybe do 45-50.

wet/damp, gotta be 55+

I used to say that my limit was 45, but that was when I only rode a cart in the winter. Since I started walking, the range has dropped to freezing. I played in cloudy 35 last January, and I felt fine after the first hole. My blood was constantly flowing. I bought some of those big golf mittens that I wear between shots.

I also only get to play about every other week. So, I understand the guys that play multiple times a week that will just skip cold days.

Going Saturday and it's going to be high 50's. That's about as low as I can go. I hate the cold.

It used to be, if the course is open, I’m playing.

Now, 45-50 and windy, I’m out.

So I played 9 today.
46, cloudy, wind not horrible.

I played my first drive. Felt good.
Got to ball. Usually have 9 iron or pitching wedge into that green- 7 wood today.

Same thing at 3. On 5, had 3 wood.

On 6, got to where I usually swing a 9.
Made it with a 7. These are all par 4s.

Decided to go home after 9. It was too hard for me to enjoy.

I may move up again for the winter.

With just signing up for a membership with the intention of playing a lot more, I'll be playing as much as I can. Played 9 yesterday in 50ish degree temps and wet and was completely comfortable. But know just a bit colder and I'll need better clothing for warmth that is still comfortable to swing in. Need to invest in a good jacket, layers, mittens/hand-warmers, etc.

Played yesterday at 43 with some wind. Uncomfortable but doable. Under 40 a no go.

All depends on the wind. I can play in mid 30’s if it’s not windy. Played last weekend at mossy oak in the low 40’s and there was a little wind. Wasn’t horrible but with some wind that was right on the edge for me.

55° and sunny and I’ll play without any issues. Hate layering up to play golf…there’s always another day to play.

If the high isn’t above 50, I don’t play.

If the low is below 40, I don’t play.

Our golf league played our winter major at TPC one year and it was 28 degrees at tee time. They took the tarps off the greens right before our first group got to that hole and recovered as soon as our last group played through. A lot of our guys only heavy jackets were Camo people had so many layers on they could hardly make a swing.

Which is a good idea.

Typically I won’t play when it’s under 45 when it’s raining or a good chance of (see today).

Unless the marshals group is playing, if the course is open they’re playing and so am I. We’re all crazy and I’m fond of their money.

We teed off Wednesday at it was in the 30s and the first 6 holes were rough till the sun came out.
