Well shite, looks like we're going to lose him one way or another. He obviously doesn't want to be at LSU anymore so even if he doesn't land a HC job anywhere, my concern is he'd be mentally checked out.

That’s a little surprising. Memphis has been all about offensive-minded head coaches since Fuente. I have a feeling that Mullen will be their top choice.

Memphis seems to be hiring the western Kentucky coach so

Maybe trying to increase salary?!?!?

Maybe he doesn’t feel great about Tulane

why is that obvious?
he's stated publicly before that he absolutely wants to be a HC one day.
so him interviewing for that gig is a logical move in his progression.

He also could just be trying to sharpen his interview skills

He could just be using this to get his interviewing reps in for when a big job comes available next year. I feel he still may end up our DC judging from him meeting recruits/agents with Lane just last night.

Looking for the opportunity to lead a program isn’t anywhere close to the same thing as not wanting to be at LSU.
Also, Memphis and Tulane are two of the top jobs in the G5. It’s doubtful he’s going to interview for a team further downstream from them.

Or putting the pressure on Tulane…

If you’re a coordinator and someone wants to interview you for HC, you take the interview.
Doesn’t mean anything else
Doesn’t mean anything else

Pretty obvious he doesn’t want to continue as DC at LSU.

Holy shite bro. He’s interviewing for HC gigs at solid programs, not to jump ship and go be a DC somewhere else.

Need to back that emotion down a bit.
He (like all coaches) wants to be a head coach.

It’s a good way for him to pressure Tulane

Or he’s trying to simply fulfill his coaching dream of being a HC lol

Obviously Hartline didn’t want to be at tOSU then, must be due to their lack of recent success.
