“Every coach, including Lane Kiffin, preaches the Bo Schembechler line of the team, the team, the team – until it’s about me. And, if it’s not about money, then there’s a different way to handle it,” said Dinich.
“It is possible to say, ‘You know what, thank you so much for your interest, LSU and Florida. I’m going to focus on my team, and then we can have these conversations when I’m done. And, if you can’t wait for me to do that, then go ahead and move on, but that’s what I need to do is focus on this’. This happens all the time in jobs across America. So, there’s a different way to handle it.”

This is so tired. They need to move on.
Heather should stay in her lane, we don’t really care what she thinks.

Lane tried to make it all about his team but Ole Miss wouldn't let him. I don't necessarily blame them given the situation, but nobody and I mean NOBODY can say Lane didn't try to continue with his team until the season is over.

And then he loses out on a major promotion?
Hey Heather, what if someone told you the same thing when ESPN offered you a job? “Sit this one out, I’m sure they’ll come calling again.”
People have gone fully retarded. Fix the calendar.

There's only one female in sports worth listening to her opinion and that's kay adams.

They just hate that LSU, at least until Lane is fired

Good Lord, maybe if Ole Miss would've let him coach, it would not even be that big of a deal.

This is such a stupid take. She is literally sayin Kiffen don't take the LSU job. WTF kind of comment is that? She and Finebaum look like bitter idiots.

No one gives a shite. Ole miss is lame and not elite. LSU is elite. Anyone with a brain knows this. End of story. Cry more bitches

Why post stupid shite like this? It is by the Ole Miss beat writer for SI. Who gives a damn about his sour grapes?

all of this stuff is easy to say, but the reality is if Kiffin did exactly what she said then he screws over all of the HS kids that signed in the early signing period. if he tells them the truth and word gets out that he’s leaving. If he lies to them, then they sign up for playing for a program with a coach that is gone before they ever set foot on campus. so if they don’t wanna play for Ole Miss, they have to transfer.
There is no way to work this out so that no one is hurt, somebody is going to get hurt in this type of deal.
The other thing that pisses me off about this is the players can leave the second The portal opens with no strings attached. Why are we acting like these players are prisoners of the program and don’t have options themselves. The players actually have more options than the coaches, because the players are essentially on 6 month contracts.
So why are we so concerned with coaches being loyal to players that have almost zero loyalty to the programs and the coaches themselves? The whole thing is beyond stupid

We were ready to wait. It's Ole Miss who said tell us you'll be here or gtfo, and yet somehow we're the villain.

This whole virtue signaling is so dumb. These guys are football coaches, not righteous monks.
Kids now make their decisions based on fully financial reasons and keep teams hostage on a year to year basis. This whole players can do what they want, but coaches can’t era is comical.

Not so surprising remarks from LSU folks, but they aren't on the other side of the fence. Amiright?
Knowing how most LSU fans post on here, if this script were flipped, it would be a nuclear-level meltdown.
It's a shame how easy it is to be a frickin dick, even when you know the situation is completely fricked up.
