We'll see how that plays after next 3 games but they deserve where they are right now.. If they can go 2-1 I'd say they are legitimate tourney team. If they can go 3-0 I'd say they will end up a higher seed. If they go 0-3 well then the pitchforks will come out.

Poncho- say you haven't watched this team play without saying you haven't watched this team play. We won 3 game last year with no real PG and no size and lousy shooters. We have 2 solid PG. Size and length and 7-8 guys who can score and shoot. Not getting killed on the boards this year and playing aggressive perimeter defense. So yes we will win more than 3-4 SEC games this year. We went down to the wire with multiple ranked SEC teams last year. Just didn't have the talent or depth to finish. We do this year.

Still too early regardless of what happens in the next 3. They can be a good barometer for where we are but only one of those games is going to affect us if it comes down to that at the end of the season. SEC play is going to determine if we get in or not. Remember Miss State was left out a few years back with 25 total wins because of their non conf schedule.

If Thomas Jr stays healthy, LSU will win more than 2 or 3 games.

We haven't really played anybody yet. I'll admit I haven't watched us play all year so far, but I will watch our game against BC tomorrow. I just miss the excitement.

clickbait.

We haven't played a single SEC game yet.

January doesn’t even look that intimidating. CMM should get more SEC wins in those 9 games than he did last year (3).

ETA: disclaimer, we do play SC twice in Jan

All you basketball fans are falling for it again.

We're beating nobody's, lets see what happens when SEC play starts.

To the idiots we aren't falling for anything. We are rooting for our LSU basketball team. We are seeing a completely different team than we have the last few years. We know the schedule. We know who they've played. Has nothing to do with the fact that this team has set itself apart from the previous teams just with the PG alone. We understand that they will be playing better competition next week and look forward to it but unlike you unhappy losers we aren't predicting gloom and doom. I choose to be positive about what I've seen. No one is saying the are going to win the SEC or go to the sweet 16 but to sit there and say they will only win 2-3 SEC games is pretty stupid at this time also.

Man this is the same sh!! from the past 3 years. We play a bunch of cupcakes in non conference and then get boatraced in SEC play.

and playing aggressive perimeter defense

After watching the first few games, this is almost shocking.

I only say almost because it’s normal for BBall teams to improve a ton over the first month of play.
