I guesses they realized they can’t get Pete directly, so they are spinning the narrative.

quote:

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made clear that he believes Admiral Frank “Mitch” Bradley is the man responsible for a U.S. attack on the survivors of a boat bombing in the Caribbean. On Sept. 2, the U.S. bombed an alleged drug boat off the coast of Trinidad. According to The Washington Post, Hegseth ordered everyone aboard killed, according to sources familiar with the situation. After the first strike, which was conducted by the Navy, two survivors remained, clinging to the wreckage. Heeding Hegseth’s directive, the Post said Bradly deemed the survivors valid targets and ordered that Hegseth’s directive be carried out. The Navy conducted a second strike and killed the survivors. Legal experts have said the killing of such survivors is illegal under U.S. and international law. Moreover, the broader boat bombing campaign of alleged drug vessels in the Caribbean and the Pacific is legally suspect.

And what the hell is wrong with Brit Hume?

quote:

Fox News Chief Political Analyst Brit Hume quote-tweeted Hegseth and wrote, “How to point the finger at someone while pretending to support him.”

Read Pete”s tweet for yourself:

quote:

Let’s make one thing crystal clear: Admiral Mitch Bradley is an American hero, a true professional, and has my 100% support. I stand by him and the combat decisions he has made — on the September 2 mission and all others since. America is fortunate to have such men protecting us. When this @DeptofWar says we have the back of our warriors — we mean it.

You can see the fake news unfolding before our eyes. It only took them 12 hours to pivot the fake narrative. Wonder what tomorrow will bring.

What is the general consensus among non-retarded people? Probably leaving them to rot in the ocean would've been better or better yet, survived and went back to tell his drug boss to frick off and I quit.

I wish I could remember where I saw it reported this is all much to do about nothing.

They are trying to spin it to make it something to get rid of Hegseth and impeach and remove Trump.

They hope all get sick of all of this like Russia Russia Russia.

The whole concept is retarded. It is acceptable to fire one missile and attempt to kill everybody, but a second one is a crime. What kind of rationale is that?

This is the equivalent of claiming "base" if you outrun pursuing cops to your house.

This isn't a partisan issue. IF someone ordered a strike to kill shipwreck survivors, all involved are going to suffer serious consequences.

I think Pete has done a great job with the military. I hope that it's a false story and/or Pete didn't give an order to kill survivors.

We will see what the investigation shows. This shouldn't be hard to resolve quickly.

I’m just curious…

Where have the media and the legal experts been the last 15+ years as we’ve been making our way through droning people, extrajudicially and not in a state of war and under very suspect circumstances, off a kill list that, as verified through Wikileaks, has upwards of one million names on it?

Have we ever prosecuted anyone?

Even when we droned a family with several children in Afghanistan?

Then they should use a larger missile the first time. No second shot needed.

Maybe not a MOAB but Im sure we have something that would work. Can we drop napalm on them, could missile be modified to work over water? Gas floats so any survivors would float around until they were medium well.

Watters went over it last night. He said a fleet of military attorneys vetted every decision. There is no possibility they carried out any illegal actions.

strike to kill shipwreck survivors,

The follow up was to finish sinking the boat. An unsunk boat is a threat to navigation.

Of the mountains of fake astroturf narratives peddled by the CIA media this is one of the saddest. No one cares.

Hume's take is pretty accurate.

Given Bradley's years of experience and knowledge I expect he made the right call. I trust his judgement far more than Whiskey Pete's.
