I wonder if we can get Morris Bart to represent the fans in a lawsuit against Damars and the organization. That trade was negligent and may actually be willfull

Can’t be mad if you don’t care. Ownership and Joe Dumars has done an incredible job of injecting apathy into this fanbase

Nothing makes me mad anymore. Its largly indifference which is worse.

Ive just come to expect the worst to happen to this team self inflicted or not.

I used to at least like to go see great opposing players. Now I get so frustrated seeing Zion in street clothes and us shooting 22% from 3 that it’s not fun to do that anymore.

I don't care about sports anymore... I was one of the people with season tickets to the Saints, regular nights in the blender, catching multiple different LSU games across many sports. Sports sucks right now, and I am not sure I will ever be back into it.

There was a week or two there I was excited about the prospect of Queen and Fears but even that excitement has faded. Not an indictment on those two, just the organization as a whole is so uninteresting right now even the fun of those two has been sucked away from me.

I haven't watched a Pels game all year. Probably the first time since the franchise has been in New Orleans that I haven't watched the majority of their games. I just don't care and would honestly be fine if they moved. It's sad.

Part of that is the NBA as a whole though. I said i wasn't going to watch it after rigging the NBA draft so I'm sticking with my boycott.

Trade Trey

Trading Herb...MIGHT...be enough to get a decent 1st round pick included in his trade.

If Trey is traded...in a separate trade...who knows WHAT...we might end up with...as far as picks in the 1st round.

I'm not sure Zion is EVEN tradable...or tradeable...whichever one is correct.

Murphy is our best asset right now. I think he would be a great fit on the Hawks. They have a spot at SF, that Risacher is not ready to fill fully yet. Murphy would be an incredible upgrade and could vault them to a top 4 spot in the East, as semi-contendors. They have two expiring in Porzingis and Young, so they need to make a big move ASAP.

I would propose us getting our 1st round pick back, Risacher, Kennard, and a heavily protected future 1st. If they want, we could include Alvarado (return to Atlanta) for another low level contract. The money works, both teams address serious problems, and can move on with a defined goal (spotlight youth with no urgency to win).

I hate tanking. But this would give us some breathing room plus we could flip the remainder on the roster, as we progress through the season. I think the Hawks would go for it..

I think the Hawks think they will get someone better than Murphy with the Pels' pick. And I agree...so I can't see them giving anything near your offer for Murphy...but...you never know.

been this way since basically the beginning of last season.... the Pelicans have become a very far down footnote in my fandom...

i still, obviously, check in on them, but i mainly just sorta laugh to myself when i see the results and/or the injury report

The money has to match though. Unless they decide to move Young or Porzingis, which I do not think they will at this point, they are kind of limited. Murphy is just a tremendous fit for them. They need size and shooting, plus a compliment to Johnson, who is on the brink of stardom. Murphy would give them arguably a top-5, first group of 7 in the league. If they get healthy, they could make a serious run. But they need more shooting. Who would be a better fit?

Wait, a future potential #1 overall pick, last years #1 overall pick, another first, and a role player for... Trey Murphy?

It's also a potential 5-10 pick as well. It's not a lock to be first or even top 4.

This is a situation similar to the Pacers. We're not planning on losing unless we have our own pick. We'll win games intentionally later and not tank. There will be at least 5 teams that finish worse than us, if we don't have our selection.

last years #1 overall pick,

It was a weak draft and he's still a major project. They need an immediate contributor. I'd like to take a flier on him, as he has upside. But his value has diminished significantly.

Like I said a protected future 1st. It could be in 3-4 years. Kennard and that pick are throw in sweetners.

Trey Murphy?

The market is 2-3 1sts plus a young talent. This fits the model that most are proposing. If the Hawks don't step up, another team will. The Spurs and Warriors have interest. The Thunder are looming as well. We need to get it done fast, while there is still a big market..

what good would a high draft pick even do for this org?

we’d trade it back and get two mid players that do nothing for the team long term, or we’d get an always injured or disgruntled star player

1. We arent getting all that for Trey. We'd be lucky to get our unprotected first back, considering how terrible we are and how good this draft class is.

2. It wasnt a month ago, you were saying we were a play-in team, AT WORST. Now "atleast 5 teams will finish with worse records." Pretty soon it'll be, "how often does the worst record actually land the #1 pick? It probably wont happen. Queen is still a stud."
